The “Atomizer” project, co-financed from the funds of the specific purpose subsidy of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, covers the acquisition of a station for the production of metal powders by the spraying method – an ultrasonic atomizer with an induction furnace and other peripheral devices for the production of high-quality metal powders with a strictly controlled particle size for use in the thermal spraying laboratory.

New Ni-B/B and Ni-B/MoS2 composite coatings with improved mechanical properties produced by chemical reduction – the project concerns the production and testing of the properties of composite coatings deposited chemically with a Ni-B matrix and B or MoS2 particles. The subject is within the global trend of searching for materials that have high utility requirements, such as high hardness, corrosion resistance and resistance to wear due to friction.
