About the laboratory
Our Laboratory performs comprehensive tests of coatings and liquid coating materials, including:
- tests of the physical properties of paint materials,
- tests of mechanical properties of paint and metal protective coatings,
- tests of corrosion resistance of paint and metal protective coatings.
The Laboratory’s activities are accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA accreditation number: AB 240).

We perform tests of mechanical properties of paint and metal coatings. The Laboratory management system is compliant with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 standard.
- Resistance to neutral and acidic salt mist;
- Resistance to sulfur dioxide atmosphere;
- Resistance to the action of an atmosphere saturated with water vapour;
- Resistance to artificial atmospheric factors;
- Resistance to temperature fluctuations in the range from -40 °C to +60 °C;
- Determination of the content of non-volatile substances in paint materials;
- Determination of paint coating thickness;
- Determination of coating adhesion by the cross-cut method;
- Determination of pressurability;
- Determination of abrasion using the Taber apparatus;
- Falling weight test;
- Color measurement;

Laboratory for Research on the Properties of Coatings and Paint Materials
The Laboratory performs comprehensive tests for coatings and liquid coating materials for external Clients (tests of physical properties of paint materials, tests of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of paint and metal protective coatings). Numerous research methodologies offered by the Laboratory are covered by the accreditation of the Polish Center for Accreditation (accreditation number PCA – AB 240).
The laboratory performs:
Research services in the field of testing the mechanical properties of paint and metal coatings (the Laboratory operates a management system based on system documentation taking into account the guidelines of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 standard).
