ABSTRACT
The project entitled “Research and implementation station for the development of technology for the production of cermet shapes using the energy-saving sintering method for the production of tools and machine parts” consists in equipping the Łukasiewicz-WIT research infrastructure with a modern research and implementation station (ETS Station) for the development of energy-saving and effective cermet sintering technologies.
The scope of the investment includes:
- Purchase of functional components of the Material Preparation Unit, i.e.: glove box, 50L vacuum dryer, powder fume hood/laminar chamber, analytical balance for weighing powders, press with force regulation/measurement, high-energy planetary mill with accessories, mixer working in Shatz geometry, granulator for metal powders, high-speed centrifugal-planetary mixer, industrial vacuum cleaner for powders, powder particle size analyzer, tables with exhaust with a filtration system, set of equipment for batch preparation, powder sifter.
- Purchase of components of the functional material preparation unit along with the integration of functional units of the ETS research station, i.e.: a vacuum-pressure sintering furnace with a batch structure and a technological atmosphere installation, a process control and monitoring unit,
- Purchase of elements of the Materials Design, Materials Analysis, Measurement and Control Team, i.e.: laboratory furniture, a scale for determining apparent density, a device for testing abrasive wear of materials according to the ASTM b611/g65 standard or a draft standard, a workshop grinder with exhaust, an electro-spark cutting machine, a surface grinder with exhaust, a warehouse trolley for transporting powders and sinters and a storage desk, a set of elements of the measuring system of a bending testing machine, an ultrasonic washer, an automatic grinding-polishing machine, equipment for determining the bulk density of powders, a stereoscopic microscope, software and databases for designing the properties of sinters.
