ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project entitled “Expanding the research potential of \u0141ukasiewicz-WIT in the field of manufacturing, characterization and quality control of surface layers for the needs of the aviation, chemical and energy industries” involves the creation of a modern and innovative research and development base at \u0141ukasiewicz-WIT. <\/p>\n

The scope of the investment includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– systems for plasma spraying of ceramic, cermet and metal alloy coatings and, in the long term, for producing coatings from high-entropy metal alloys (including nuclear power),<\/p>\n

– a stand for induction heating technology on a scale enabling the implementation of entrepreneurs’ orders, as well as in the long term, coupling with plasma spraying technologies to modify the structure and properties of coatings made of high-entropy alloys,<\/p>\n

– extension of the functionality of currently used surface characterization methods with the purchase of a new device for profile analysis of the chemical composition of surface layers,<\/p>\n

– defectoscopic system for quality control of produced layers and coatings.<\/p>\n

The scope of the investment includes the purchase of:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– automated high-power induction heater,<\/p>\n

– mobile workshop crane,<\/p>\n

– laboratory vacuum furnace,<\/p>\n

– equipment for the station for making exciters,<\/p>\n

– software for designing the induction heating process,<\/p>\n

– ion thinners and polishers,<\/p>\n

– chemical composition analyzer using the GDOES method,<\/p>\n

– automatic high-power precision cutter,<\/p>\n

– expansion of the X-ray diffractometer,<\/p>\n

– retrofitting of the Raman spectroscope,<\/p>\n

– cylindrical grinders,<\/p>\n

– advanced device for non-destructive testing using the eddy current method,<\/p>\n

– complete plasma spraying system.<\/p>\n
